The Challenge
As Roblox’s influence grows, many newcomers are drawn in without fully understanding the platform’s collaborative roots. This rebrand aims to refocus RDC’s identity around empowering developers, fostering creativity, and highlighting the innovation at the heart of the community.
The Solution
A dynamic and developer-focused brand identity was crafted for the Roblox Developers Conference, centered on collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Key deliverables included a bold modular logo inspired by the concept of "game pillars", vibrant Lua coding-inspired color palette, immersive motion graphics, and targeted promotional materials such as posters, tickets, and merchandise. Signature concepts featured ID/lanyards that identified attendees by their development role with color, and guerilla marketing activations like oversized Roblox building tools placed in urban spaces and material-inspired code stickers on everyday objects. These activations bridged the gap between real-world and in-game creation, reinforcing the platform’s core ethos of empowering creators.
