The Problem

Skincare has become confusing; oversaturated with products, trends, and misinformation. Because everyone’s skin is different, users waste time and money on solutions that don’t work. Mir.ai was created to simplify skincare through personalized, data-driven guidance.

The Process

I researched smart mirrors, AI health tools, and customizable skincare brands, then conducted surveys with 30 participants to identify key needs like personalized recommendations and progress tracking. These insights shaped user personas and prototypes that refined Mir.ai’s AI features, ensuring they felt both intuitive and human-centered.

Mir.ai combines a smart mirror for real-time scans, a partner app for tailored routines, expert resources to debunk misinformation, and an AI-driven routine builder that evolves with users’ skin. Its calm, minimalist interface makes this technology feel approachable and trustworthy.
