The Roblox Developers Conference is Roblox’s flagship event for creators and developers. I designed a modular identity system and experiential campaign that reflects how the platform turns real-world inspiration into buildable, digital worlds.

The Problem

As Roblox continues to grow, its identity is often reduced to gameplay rather than creation. RDC needed a visual system that clearly centered developers, tools, and the act of building as the core of the platform.

The Process

I studied Roblox Studio, developer workflows, and community culture, focusing on modularity, iteration, and collaboration. Through visual research and system exploration, I translated game pillars, code logic, and building blocks into a flexible graphic language.

The Solution

The final identity uses a modular cube system, bold color blocks, and tool-inspired iconography that adapts across merch, motion, signage, and stage visuals. A guerrilla campaign titled “Code Out in the World” places code-based vinyls on real surfaces, showing how everyday materials can be recreated inside Roblox.

Reflection

This project reinforced the power of system-driven design to scale across physical, digital, and experiential spaces. With more time, I would expand the campaign into interactive scans and live in-game build challenges tied to real-world locations.
